Text Box: What Is Reiki?
Please know that the appropriate attunements must be received from a trained Reiki Master-Teacher in order to channel Reiki.
Reiki is an ancient Japanese method of natural healing based on channeling healing energy through the hands. It may be received as a hands-on session and also as a distance healing. Reiki works on the whole body and energy system rather than addressing specific symptoms.
It is safe to use anytime, anywhere and in any situation.
The inner flow of vital energy is restored as Reiki dissolves old energy blockages. As a result, Reiki enhances the immune system’s ability to repair itself and helps in the prevention of disease.
Benefits of this gentle touch therapy may include stress reduction, improved immune function, and reduction of pain.
Upon receiving Reiki, the recipient generally experiences an overall feeling of well-being as the energy moves and becomes more balanced.

How does Reiki work in conjunction with conventional medicine and treatment?

Reiki often enhances the benefits of medication and supplementation.  Reiki can also help with pain and stress reduction, at times resulting in a more receptive, easier to work with patient.

What are the recommendations for session frequency?

As each session builds upon the previous session, providing a strong foundation for deeper healing, it is generally recommended to begin with:

· 4 daily sessions minimum           in sequence for maximum benefit;

· followed by 1-2 sessions per week until “recovery” when possible;

· then weekly/monthly sessions as maintenance support.

Occasionally circumstances may warrant more than the 1-2 sessions per week after the initial 4.

How do I prepare for my animal’s Reiki session?

· Choose a calm, quiet, location which is relatively free from distractions.

· Provide 24-hour access to plenty of fresh drinking water.

· Create a safe environment for the initial introduction and session.

How may Reiki help if my animal is at the end of his or her life?

Reiki can increase overall comfort, facilitating a sense of calm acceptance and a more peaceful transition.
